The L’Chaim Center was created in the fall of 2009 to continue the work of the Jewish Information Center (JIC of Houston). L’Chaim means “To Life!” The Center is a progressive, independent Jewish, “haimish” havurah (congregation) providing worship services including Shabbat and holidays, and educational opportunities to all unaffiliated Jews and non-Jews alike who wish to experience the joys of Jewish living and learning in a warm, friendly setting.
